The Restaurant

Home-style, quality cooking in the heart of the Sierra de Aitana

Our restaurant offers home-style quality cooking, with typical local dishes and unique views over the Guadalest Valley.

Hostal El Pirineo was created in 1974 by Maria Teresa and Rafael, although previously it was a lodge where customers travelling with their carts spent the night. Today it is run by their son.

The restaurant is characterised by home-style, quality cooking, made up of home-made tapas and desserts. As main courses, the typical gastronomy of the area stands out: "Olla de Blat" (wheat stew), sopa amb pilota (soup with meatball), roast lamb shoulder, braised pork, thyme rabbit and pork ribs with chimichurri.

A space overlooking the valley

We have a bar area and two dining rooms: one interior and one on the glass terrace, with unique views over the Guadalest Valley. We also have an outdoor terrace with wonderful views over the valley.
